In the world of business and marketing, knowledge is power. But let’s be honest, not everyone has the patience (or caffeine tolerance) to wade through lengthy textbooks or dry academic papers to grasp the nuances of this ever-evolving field. That’s where case studies come in. Lessons in marketing that are both enlightening and entertaining. And what’s better—a marketing trivia quiz that aims to impart wisdom through witty questions, intriguing case studies, and a sprinkle of good-natured competitiveness.
Now, you might wonder, why a marketing quiz? Why not another “how-to” guide or a listicle of the latest marketing trends? Well, the answer lies in the art of learning itself. We’ve all sat through hours of lectures, eyes glazed over, as the monotone voice of an instructor drones on. But when you’re challenged, when you’re curious to know the answer to a seemingly trivial question, that’s when the magic of learning happens. We’re here to ignite that curiosity.
Think of this quiz as your backstage pass to the world of marketing, where we delve into concepts that are both foundational and cutting-edge. From the basics of market segmentation to the intricacies of data-driven marketing, we’ve got it all covered. But here’s the twist—it’s not just about theory. We’ve peppered in real-world case studies that illustrate how these concepts play out in the dynamic landscape of today’s businesses.
We’ve designed this quiz with you in mind—a curious marketing head, an entrepreneur wanting to dive deep into pro marketing techniques, even the marketer navigating the early stages of a marketing career ,looking to upskill, or anyone simply intrigued by the inner workings of the brands and advertisements that surround us. Marketing is everywhere, and understanding its quirks can make you a more informed consumer, a savvier professional, and perhaps even a wittier conversationalist at the next social gathering.
While we’re here to have fun, let’s not forget the serious side of marketing. It’s a field that shapes not only the products we buy but also our perceptions, our behaviors, and sometimes even our aspirations. The choices made by marketers can influence culture, social norms, and yes, the bottom line of businesses. It’s a potent force in the modern world, and as Aunt May said, with great power comes great responsibility.
So, as we go into marketing trivia, let’s keep our curiosity alive, and our critical thinking hats on. Let’s not just seek the right answers but also explore the “whys” and “hows” behind them. After all, in the realm of marketing, understanding the “why” can be as intriguing as the “what.”
Remember, in the world of marketing, knowledge is the key that unlocks doors to innovation, creativity, and success. Let’s have some fun while we discover just how fascinating marketing can be.

Abhishek is a computer science graduate. He was too scared of programming so he pursued MBA. He then joined a management consulting firm but soon realised that without any real world and technical experience, consulting wasn’t real.
So he joined a bicycle manufacturing company as a marketing manager. There he got into the nitty-gritties of cycling and learned all about manufacturing, sales & distribution. But soon, things got too easy, so he quit and joined a media conglomerate, which would later give him and his wife the idea for SAM, their digital media business. His heart was still in cycling, so he rejoined the cycling company as product manager, which he truly aspired for. He got selected for a company sponsored executive MBA program at IIM-A, only to realise that it would make everybody around him jealous.
That sent him working in other business areas like corporate strategy, precision steel tube, exports, etc. After COVID-19 and becoming a father of twin children, he was made to quit. So he finally got the guts to leave the job-life once and for all, and run the media business he helped start.
Today he’s the co-founder of a media business along with his pretty wife and also runs his investment fund. He is interested in writing about topics that no one wants to touch or discuss. Over the years Abhishek has come to realise how lucky and immature he has been and wants to repay the world with good karma.
He’s used to be passionate cyclist and participated in several competitive events, as of now he’s procrastinating to get back on to his bike’s saddle again. He also has interests are in behavioral psychology, economics, stock valuations and chess.
